Join us as we host a mini-conference on intentional community at our farm this summer. We have asked Homestead Heritage, a 4th-generation craft- and agrarian-based intentional community, based in Texas, to come and teach what they have learned over 50 years of building sustainable, generational community.
Read Rory’s letter: Is Deeper Community Possible in Minnesota?
Topics include:
- Why community? A biblical and practical answer to modernity.
- True and false community: What is authentic Christian community, and how is it different than what we have now?
- What does agriculture have to do with community?
- Self-sufficiency or community sufficiency?
- The cost of community: Why most intentional communities fail.
- What is the process of starting a new community?
- City on a Hill: Community and evangelism.
- Q&A throughout
